Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) today announced that three of its
channel leaders – Julia McConaughy, Donna Lowe and Tamela Gates
May – have been named 2014
CRN
Women of the Channel. The annual list highlights the accomplishments
of female executives within vendor, distribution and solution provider
organizations, and the impact they are having on the advancement of the
IT channel industry as a whole. Additionally, McConaughy has been
recognized as one of this year’s CRN Power 100, a list that spotlights
those elite female executives at vendor and distributor organizations
whose insight and influence in their respective companies help drive
channel success. This is the second consecutive year that McConaughy has
received this honor.
Aruba’s three channel leaders were selected for the CRN Women of the
Channel list based on the outstanding contributions they’ve made to the
Aruba channel program over the last year. McConaughy, who brings 19
years of channel experience to her role as Director, Channel Operations
for Aruba, has updated Aruba’s PartnerEdge program to offer greater
benefits including more competitive pricing, additional complimentary
training, and lower cost demo equipment, for those partners who have
developed the expertise to deliver advanced mobility solutions. She has
also expanded services for Aruba’s partners by introducing a new partner
portal and online demo lab, and developed programs and resources to
recruit and enable mid-market partners.
Donna Lowe, Senior Channel Manager, has worked with Aruba’s strategic
technology partners to develop and promote a vision of comprehensive
network access and security with a best of breed solution set.
Additionally, she has hired and mentored new channel team members,
helping them develop their professional skills to better serve Aruba’s
partners.
As Director of National Resellers for Aruba, Tamela Gates May has led
Aruba’s direct market reseller (DMR) strategy. She has also developed
education programs to help Aruba’s partners assist their customers with
meeting the mobility demands of #GenMobile,
a new generation of tech-savvy users who rely on their mobile devices
for every aspect of work and personal communication.
“With a keen focus on delivering outstanding partner enablement and
support, Julia, Donna and Tamela have each played an integral role in
building Aruba’s channel program into a world-class organization with an
unwavering commitment to partner success,” said Karl Soderlund, Vice
President, Worldwide Channels for Aruba. “Having three of our leaders
honored by CRN as some of the top women of the channel speaks volumes
not just about our corporate commitment to our partners but also about
the talent and dedication that these three individuals bring to their
positions each and every day.”
“These female executives have risen in the ranks of their organizations
and are leaving their indelible mark on the technology channel. We
celebrate their many contributions and the varied ways in which they
help solution providers grow and thrive every day,” said Robert Faletra,
CEO, The Channel Company. “We are committed to raising the visibility of
the contributions of women in the channel, and we applaud the
far-reaching influence of these executives who are defining today’s
channel and helping to shape its future.”
A special feature showcasing the Women of the Channel appears in the
June issue of CRN magazine and expanded coverage of the Power 100 will
be featured online at www.crn.com.
